I was delighted this morning in a meeting to hear someone say “we can do this to our heart’s consent”; clearly meaning to say “heart’s content” but the alternative seems to have a weird beauty and poetry.
Has anyone else met this?

I wish I could understand the meaning that is being infused into “heart’s consent.†Perhaps one would consent one’s heart before indulging in something. Would you have an alternative theory?
