When we are asleep we dream…..Dreams are nothing more then a silent urining for a different aspect on life

That one moves the pointer on our forum weirdmeter a notch or two.
Why do you call it a mondegreen?

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.

I’ve adopted DT’s wider definition of mondegreen, viz. a mishearing of a word or phrase that radically changes the meaning, within or without the confines of song. It’s hard for me to see this one as an eggcorn, though I sense that there is something there, potentially, in my most visceral inner ardent secretions.

Urining? Wow! Things are getting bladder and bladder around here.

Did I tell you all about the (truly very sad) occasion when my sister’s colleague’s son had committed suicide and the family had opted for cremation? My sister and another colleague attended the memorial service/wake and at one point the colleague commented how odd it was to attend such a service without the casket there. “They didn’t even have a urinal with the ashes in it,†she added.

I just spent a couple of days (as I periodically do) in a place where the outhouse is about 90 steps (87, to be exact, and very slippery steps when it rains as it often does) down a steep mountainside. One naturally avoids visiting it unnecessarily, particularly in the middle of the night. (This time they had parked a donkey at one point in such a way that the trail passed less than a meter from its hind legs: one would hate to startle the animal in such a situation.) Anyhow, given such memories, lying in bed and trying to restrain your urinings does not seem such a farfetched wording, to me.
