mangled medical terms

I came across a list of mangled medical terms on Rankopedia. Rankopedia came up with a candidate list of terms that had supposedly been documented by doctors. Site users were then allowed to rank the terms. Here are the rankings.

Some of these mangled terms seem like they vould be eggcorns. If they could be documented. I love “sick as hell anemia.” A few web example of it look as though they might be non-punning uses.

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.

Me too! It’s one of the best. It was actually mentioned here way back in 2005, near the bottom of this page
