A new blog article on eggcorns has been making rounds on the web. I’ve received a link to it from three separate communication channels in the last 24 hours.
Nothing much new in the article for readers of this Forum, but the comments have a couple of candidates that haven’t appeared here. The first one, “unihorn†for “unicorn.†is not that interesting: “cornus†is Latin for “horn.†The other one, “eyebulbs†for “eyeballs†may have some traction. The substitution can be seen on quite a number of web sites. All the instances can’t be puns.

Eyebulb is a beaut. The return tripper is rare but out there.
