"Coloration" for correlation

A correlation is a joint relation, if that is not a too too redundant way of putting it. The substitution of metathetical coloration is conceivably a way of drawing attention to the way two objects bleed into and blend with one another, conceptually or causally. Maybe. Coloration could also be a cupertino, of course.
