Not outwood yet

“Outward Bound” is a character building international adventure organisation, founded by Kurt Hahn, also of Gordonstoun, Atlantic College and so on. All that hearty camping, abseiling and so on makes

Pupils’ jumped in lakes, hiked, went gorge walking and completed activities that challenged them on the Ullswater Outwood Bound Trip

(we) feel certain that the outwood bound experience that we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.

seem quite reasonable. There’s also a beer called Outwood Bound and a village called Outwood but in amongst the puns are a good number of these “out in the woods” activities. I daresay the perps don’t really think that’s what outward means but it does seem to be affecting their spelling.

“Inwood” seems to used mostly in connection with NYC subway trains. Why I couldn’t say.

On the plain in Spain where it mainly rains.

I’m not so sure, John. Some have let the wood out on its own:

In my opinion I thoroughly enjoyed my first out wood bound trip and believed grew as a coach and a person and hope that schools, …

Would love to work at a retreat or an out wood bound place, do like being outside .

And if I squint hard enough I can almost see something bouncily eggcornish in this variant:

Ideal for country retreat or out would bound activity centre. No electric. Breathtaking location.

You all look like you are on an out-would bound Duke of Edinburgh achievement on Bodmin..
