Gerryrigging vs Juryrigging

one of my own misappropriations…..Gerry-rigging comes (i believe) from the term gerrymandering, or the practice of unscrupulous politicians of cutting oddly shaped voting districts to increase the likelihood of winning elections. Jury-rigging is the practice of unscrupulous lawyers picking odd jurors in and effort to increase the likelihood of winning a lawsuit.

Re: Gerryrigging vs Juryrigging

Long relevant discussion here and elsewhere (e.g. here ).
.
Are you saying that you understood jury-rigging to be (a particular type of legal) jury tampering, that others do, that you think that is the standard or most legitimate meaning, or what? I’m not at all sure I’m understanding you.

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
