"Shared a tear" for "shed a tear"

This is a sweet one. Instead of shedding tears, you share them with the world. It might work best in non-rhotic dialects.

Sad obituary: Two years ago today we had to say goodbye, each night I shared a silent tear

Tweeter: I shared a tear looking at this close-up of Tom. He’s one the best person I’ve ever known. He’s so perf.

Video review: When I first watched it I shared a tear at the end. A week later, I watched again and halfway through the video I was crying like a baby.

Echoes of shared light upon.

It’s those non-rhotics. Can’t trust ‘em with the language.

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
