My son just told me how many kids in his school say “Dark Vader”. I know it’s a proper noun, but what do ya’ll think?
I believe there’s a new Star Wars movie coming out soon, and Dark Vader is probably hanging out with the crew from Star Track.

Lopro, there’s nothing at all wrong with making eggcorns from proper nouns. Those have come to be called Lehmanns, as in “Lehmann’s terms”, by our community of eggcornistas.
And welcome to the Eggcorn Forum!

When the direction of change goes from a proper noun to a common noun, some of us call them Aunty Lehmans (anti-lehman). Switches such as Taj Mahal—> Tajma Hall.
Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
