Riodj (and all newbies), here’s something that, for some reason, the Eggcorn Forum powers that be don’t routinely tell newbies, and which took me awhile to figure out: Whenever considering posting a “new” eggcorn, I first search in the 2nd search field on the Eggcorn Database page (the search field labeled “Google Search”) to see if it’s already been discussed here. If it has been, I can then decide whether to add to the discussion, or not to bother.
