Carrier vs. Career

I came across this gem (car career for car carrier) on Craigslist, and it made me wonder how common it is and if it is actually an eggcorn.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/for/215626299.html

Unfortunately that post will be gone by 10/10.

When I read it it just made me laugh out loud. I imagined this poor poster sounding it out “CARE-EE-ER” and then deciding that “career” looks right.

So, is it an eggcorn? Why or why not?

Re: Carrier vs. Career

Seems more of a spelling mistake than an eggcorn, just because it doesn’t make sense as a term in its own right. I mean, this thing is used for carrying things. How can that be a career?
