This one is new. I found a few examples online, such as:

Now, let’s see…you have high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis but more importantly, positive genetic tags for vascular/heart disease, Alzheimer’s, matricular degeneration and three types of cancer, prostate, esophageal and colon.

Vitamin D is also an antibiotic, as well as being beneficial for eczema, insomnia, matricular degeneration, periodontal disease, and hearing loss.

I can’t think of any plausible meaning connection, so it’s apparently not an eggcorn. Cute malapropism, though.

Re: "matricular degeneration" for "macular degeneration"

I’d think it would (clearly) be degeneration of the matrix of the eye. It’s the hits for masticular and mascular degeneration that are puzzling.

Re: "matricular degeneration" for "macular degeneration"

I’ve heard “molecular degeneration” a lot for this, and I think that’s just a case of people replacing an obscure term with a more common one.
