"Bedoir" for boudoir

The boudoir was originally a room between the salon (or the kitchen) and the bedroom, where Madame might retire to sulk. There were no beds in it. But wait – the great seducers must be inviting you into their bedrooms, or as the French say, their bedoirs.

I quickly put on my outfit then run to my bedoir. I did my make up, mascara, winged eyeliner and a pooping red lipstick.

Re: "Bedoir" for boudoir

Makes a lot of sense. And there are enough examples on the web to convince me that the eggcorn has been taken up into a number of vocabularies.

If bowdlerizing is removing the naughty bits, is boudoirizing adding the naughty bits?

I’ll buy it.

Or should it be bedoirizing? Or is that one convolution (wrap of the bedclothes?) too many?

(Possible Corollary: it is, and we are .)
