Apologies if I didn’t search the forum correctly, but I didn’t find an entry for “neck-in-neck.” Not an eggcorn, but a surprisingly common misunderstanding of the phrase “neck-and-neck.” Here’s an example from an article at https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/the- … for-trump: “That is why the Left is absolutely apoplectic when they look at the polls and see that Donald Trump is running neck-in-neck with Hillary Clinton.”
I found example after example on Twitter; also many instances of “neck-on-neck.”
