Presumably the users of this eggcorn think that ‘a heart bit’ is a bit of their heart – something akin to saying ‘i’d give my right arm for that’.

reading this forum and seeing how many eggcorns there are for expressions that really have never been very complicated, i keep asking myself are people really this dumb?
