'glitz' for 'glitch'

Those useless sparkly baubles get everywhere:

Apparently there was a glitz in the program. Those things do happen.

Turns out it was a glitz in the after market starter gizmo.

A bit of a bother setting up as laptop would not recognise it and there seems to be a glitz in the cd-rom provided

I’ve just been informed that there may have been a glitz in the online ticket purchases where is was requiring PayPal but not credit cards.

Darrin has an automatic garage door opener installed, but a glitz in the wiring causes the door to open whenever an airplane flies over!

I’m thinking there may be a glitz in the printing area today?

Now, here’s a glitz in the reasoning.

Re: 'glitz' for 'glitch'

It goes both ways:

Subsidy-published book: “[the Royal visit] had a trade component to all the glitch and glamour that very few people noticed”

Travel site: “We were intrigued by your web ad, chairs, rocks and fishing rod after so much glitch and glamour.”

Music blog: “Smooth out the wrinkles with the glitch and glamour that was honoured in 2011”

But the semanitic transition in the “glitz->glitch” direction is not so clear.

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
