'Pees and queues' for 'p's and q's'

“p’s and q’s” 168,000 ghits
“pees and queues” 317 ghits

I thought p’s and q’s were “pleases” and “thank yous”, but there are alternative theories involving pints and quarts and the difficulties in a print shop of keeping metal p’s and q’s in their respective boxes.
“Pees and queues” has the highest number of hits, but peas and cues also demand attention. I think there may be an eggcorn in here somewhere but all I can dredge up in the way of imagery at the moment is well-soaked but not necessarily inebriated women being patient with each other while they wait to use the always inadequate toilet facilities.

“Pees and queues” is a great play on the original cliche, at least when it’s intended.

Is there a term for such intentional eggcorns?
