"seminary" for "seminal"

Encountered this one recently:

We’re kicking our weekend off TONIGHT (Wed 8/15) with a tribute to The Band’s seminary album, “The Music From Big Pink”
ad for a concert

Clearly they meant “seminal”. Probably not an eggcorn; I don’t see a plausible meaning connection.

Re: "seminary" for "seminal"

Back when they were in seminary school? Seminary and seminal stem from the same root. Or seed.

Re: "seminary" for "seminal"

Maybe it’s a masterwork, the sort of thing you could produce only after considerable time of preparation? (In some circles the idea of having gone to seminary still implies having gotten a good combination of experience, education, and training.) Or maybe it’s of the quality that merits inclusion in a seminary course? The idea of a seminar might reinforce some of those notions.

(Like you, I doubt its eggcornicity for most that might use it.)
