"magnate" for "magnet"

As has been mentioned in the Eggcorn Database, the very common word “magnet” is often substituted for the relatively rare “magnate”. This process is well-known to eggcornistas. Less likely is the converse substitution, “magnate” for “magnet”—and yet, here it is:

Santa Stop Here magnate for garage door
magnetic sign pictured for sale in FB

Probably not an eggcorn, as I can divine no meaning connection.
