As the train approaches i start to have second doubts on my suicide, I have my brother, my friends, my families that still love me.
We had been talking about the jobs available for a seaman, and although there were several I might find agreeable I was starting to have second doubts.
This is probably one of those that is a bit of a blend: have second thoughts with its synonym have (your) doubts (and maybe second-guess yourself too). Those using it probably are not thinking very specifically “I/he had doubted once before, but now started to doubt a second timeâ€, but the idea of doubting on a second consideration is probably good enough to work.
