Rag time > Ragtag

I just saw this in comments on FB. I can’t see an eggcorn here, but it’s a funny substitution:

Looks like a rag time group of fishermen that spend their days fishing and drinking instead of getting a job and working.

If they spend their time chewing the rag, why not? Raggedness also implies lack of order, haphazard (dis)organization, that sort of thing; ragtime music was presumably not as disciplined as other types, including perhaps most saliently classical music. There are semantic connections, even though I agree it is not a clear, full-fledged eggcorn.
