In an article about the McGahn case (for any of us who may know or care much about it):
[Judge Jackson is] occasionally incoherent. (An example of the latter: 102 pages in, after providing a list of policy arguments the Justice Department presses in support of its claim, Jackson snipes, “unfortunately for DOJ, its mere recantation of these aspirational assertions does not make the proposition any more persuasive.†But DOJ has not recanted anything — Jackson apparently meant to say incantation.)

Recanting is of course an opposite to affirming, and incantation in this context at least presupposes affirmation that the arguments listed are valid. Anyhow, it strikes me as a blend of sorts, with similarities (opposition being a similarity) of both meaning and pronunciation/spelling. It seemed an oddity worth mentioning.
