Most of you, while joisting with Leach, miss the point as did he. Utah was the better team, coached by a better coach,
She had watched with much enjoyment as the young woman conversed and joisted with her mother.
Meanwhile, Billie Holiday was still joisting with fate and coming up bloody, but unbowed.
Medieval joisting with quadcopters could become a thing
While the Mercedes pair and Verstappen zoomed away, the Ferraris joisted with each other and watched their chances to even salvage a podium spot fade away.
there is another part of reality for Don Quixote. He fails. He joists with windmills and often loses.
Pretty clearly standard for some people.
I have speculated on other words or phrases beside joust that might fit these contexts and influence things, e.g. joining battle , or the ideas of joy and joking fitting the contexts where the joisting is playful, or even hoisting the other guy skyward on the end of your lance. The joy-stick of the quadcopter controllers might well influence things in that example. (See the entry.)
In any case, joists are characterized by butting directly against a beam or something of the sort. If that similarity is in people’s minds when they talk about joisting in examples like these above, it smells eggcornish.

*If the human mind were simple enough for us to understand,
we would be too simple-minded to understand it* .
