A light idiom blend in the morning coffee. Not an eggcorn at all, but an idiom blend that had me do a double take.

The story is about an LGBTQ pair who will participate in Vienna’s Opera Ball this month. From the text they appear to be clear-eyed, taken with and drawn to the dance, and have allowed themselves to be drawn in by it. On the other hand, they’ve finally been accepted, so they will be taken in.
