The digital manipulation of images by means of Photoshop and the like is widely understood and requires no specialised knowledge or aptitude, I’m led to believe. Not that long ago all such manipulation of photographic material was a highly skilled operation and required the use of an airbrush. Stalin and Mao often disappeared their ex-colleagues from photographs as well as the face of the earth. I imagine that airbrush artists may have joined them once they’d completed their tasks.
Younger folk may mistake airbrushing for hairbrushing and assume it’s a metaphor for removing every last trace of something.
There has been no attempt to renovate the teakwood building on site as if the intention was to hairbrush it out of history.
Australia like others preferred to forget this episode and hairbrush it out of History …but this they will never do, and must not be allowed to either.
... it just seemed odd that some of these women didn’t have any hint of a camel toe….someone really spent alot of time hairbrushing it out!
