I just learned a new word! Skep has been around a long time, I gather. I wonder if a bee-box, that a skep is installed in, might be called a skeptacle , but I doubt it (being skepticle myself, of course.)

I share your skep-cepticism. Although familiar with the word skep, I’ve never embraced it warmly. Brought into consciousness it insists on replacing skip in phrases like “hop, skep and jump”, and bees don’t like being disturbed. Best kept away from Lou, too. On a more positive note, they appear to have been made from a particularly sturdy skepping rope.
