I’ve seen this a couple times in recent web browsing. I just found the eggcorn database so I cannot cite sites, I’m afraid. It must come from people hearing the word spoken (light on the v sound, could easily be mistaken for a w).

There are eggcorns I never would’ve come across if not for the wonder of email lists. I am constantly amazed and amused by folks who are typing in “Walla!†for Voila!

Personally, I think it’s just a phonetic spelling rather than an eggcorn. There is a word “wallah” in English, but it’s hard to see that people who use “walla(h)” in place of “voila” are thinking of the usual meaning of “wallah.”
