I have hard time finding one that still in tack (intact)

“Last call for dandelion as the strong wind a few days ago blowing them all away. I have hard time finding one that still in tack… ”

“In tack” for intact. Perhaps not coincidental that it is posted in a photography forum where everyone is concerned about their pictures being “tack sharp”

Nice pictures though.

Re: I have hard time finding one that still in tack (intact)

Something of a classic. The Eggcorns Database has entries on both tack and tact, and the first has a mention of the “in tack” variant:

http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/76/tact/

Never heard the “tack sharp” phrase before, though. What does it mean? That the shot came out sharp enough that you’re willing to hang it up on a tack to view? Or something more technical?

Thanks for the link to the existing mentions for “in tack”. I’d done a search, but somehow missed it.

I think the implication of “tack sharp” is “as sharp as a tack”. It’s a common phrase amongst photographer types.
