I was going to offer up “mudraking” (ghits = 638) as a potential eggcorn for “muckraking,” but I don’t think that any new imagery is generated. One definition of “muck” is “mud,” so there is no essential shift in the understanding of what “muckraking” is by calling it “mudraking.”
