Just noticed an eBay sale for a “clampshell” cell phone. It should, of course, be “clamshell” cell phone. For anyone who wishes to view the eBay description, it is at url:

Google gives a good number of hits indicating that others, also, are saying “clampshell cell phone”:

“Clampshell cell phone” makes sense since this style of cell phone does flip shut with an action that some could view as clamping.
