English speakers have a hard time with the iterated consonant in ‘crepe paper.’ I found both ‘crate paper’ (which kinda makes sense) and ‘cray paper’ (which doesn’t make sense unless it’s the packing material that supercomputers come in). 500 ghits for ‘crate’ and 200+ for ‘cray’ –
