tarred with the same feather

mostly encountered on blog
about 113 google entries.

for
tarred and feathered
tarred with the same brush
bird of a feather flock together.

I kind of like the way it evokes an image of delicate tarring of like-minded people.

Cheers

Re: tarred with the same feather

Welcome, eejit, and be assured that idiom-blends, collisions and close calls can find sanctuary here, though preferably in the ‘slips/innovations/reshapings’ section. Did I spot some difficulty with the term ‘eggcorn’? If so, you’re in good company – I know noone who wouold pronounce ‘acorn’ as ‘eggcorn’. I prefer to think of them as ‘breaths -of -the-hare’ or, if I’m feeling particularly disenchanted, ‘pus-jewels’.
