Spotted in the wild, during a staff meeting in which someone insisted we purge some old, obsolete literature because it was arcane.

of course, it may well have been both old and esoteric.
Could be tricky to track down as a real eggcorn in the language rather than just a one-off mistake. It would be hard to know if someone using one meant the other without plenty of context.
