'hearteries' for 'arteries'

Many of us have very little knowledge of anatomy or physiology and some do not sound aspirates at the beginning of words so it is not difficult to see how this possible eggcorn came about. Arteries do take blood to the heart so ‘hearteries’ would be a useful word for them if another didn’t already exist.
