I saw a poster advising people to get the flu shot, and it mentioned that flu shots are especially important for people who have a “weekend” immune system. Fortunately, my immune system works all week long so I don’t need the shot. :P Anyways, I looked the phrase up on google and it seems that other people are making the same mistake. Some examples:
“You could be pregnant or have a serious underlying medical cause for your symptoms, including diabetes or a weekend immune system…”
“In the past MRSA had been predominantly associated with hospitalized patients who had weekend immune systems…”
“In persons with severely weekend immune systems, especially those with AIDS, cryptosporidiosis can be serious, long lasting and sometimes deadly.”
Would this qualify as an eggcorn?

Hard to say, looks to me more likely to be just a careless mispelling. If you run a search for “week and tired” you’ll see several hits for that, too – some people just can’t or don’t bother to spell correctly. It would only be an eggcorn if you could find an example for someone who somehow connects between the weekend and feeling weak. For instance, there is such a thing as a “weekend migraine” – if someone ascribed this to a “weekend immune system” that could be an eggcorn.
