'softmore' for sophomore'

Arnold Zwicky just posted ‘southmore’ on the database, describing it as a questionable eggcorn and, more exactly, as a ‘demi-eggcorn.’ ‘Softmore’ is also very common and also probably a demi-eggcorn; it’s hard to think of much semantic congruence with the original.

(I tried to enter this observation as a comment to the database entry, but that function isn’t behaving today.)
