"beckoning call" for "beck and call"

I’ve been seeing (and hearing) “beckoning call” for “beck and call”....as in, “I’m not at their beckoning call”.

Welcome to the forum, lisag74! Reshapings of “beck and call” are classics here. I don’t think I’ve seen “beckoning call” before, but there are many other variations listed here, both in the Database and on the forum.
