'search warren' for 'search warrant'

A search warrant affords police the right to search a warren of rooms (or a guy named ‘Warren’). Uncommon:

Drew Peterson Is served with another search warren…

Despite police surveillance of Moore’s East 2nd St. duplex, police listed the wrong address on the search Warren.

Re: 'search warren' for 'search warrant'

I love the one that’s capitalized!

Bcs “warren” could be a combined type & misspelling for “warrant”—use an “e” instead of an “a” (common misspelling), and don’t hit the “t” hard enough…

And other than the capitalized “Warren” (would his wife’s name be “Miranda,” perhaps), I’m not seeing an image shift to “warren.”

Am I missing one?

Re: 'search warren' for 'search warrant'

I’m wondering if spellcheck might be substituting a capitalized Warren for the misspelling “warrent.”
