Today I received the following feedback in a sales venue for an item I sold:
“Vary Fast Shipping, excellent contact from seller, recorment buy from seller again”
Took me a couple of seconds to figure out what recorment meant. Startled me a bit, so I did a Google search just to be sure. 249 hits.
Some are from people who just seem to have serious spelling difficulties:

But others stand out as the sole altered word in the sentence:
“Overall I think it is good enough to recorment it to other people.”

The thing that gets me about it is that when I say recommend and others I know say it, I don’t hear even the slightest hint of an r in it. The t at the end I can understand, but that r flummoxes me. Is there an region where it is typically pronounced that way? (Similar to the way that in some areas realtor becomes realitor or realator.)
