“deck aid” for “decade”

found this in one of my developmental writing courses at a local community college.

Welcome to the forum, mikeinmiddleearth.

To be an eggcorn, a reshaped phrase has to make some kind of sense in context. I’m not sure how “deck aid” can be said to mean something similar to “decade.” It looks like a (rather astonishing) malaprop to me.
