Racket tiering

I saw this in a discussion group for an online game:

“Now, suppose you have a bunch of multis who farm meat so they can buy up the same item at different price levels, each time driving the profits of your racket up a notch. Now, you’re racket tiering. And that’s a bad thing.” link

It’s not a living eggcorn yet, as I only found one other instance, “he is fimilar with the Detroit area were he ran a racket tiering operation,” and the spelling problems of the latter user are apparent. I just loved the fact that the racket run by the multi in the game was allowing the user to advance to higher tiers of the game.

And I searched for racket in the forums and the database, I promise.

Re: Racket tiering

I like this! W/ all those levels in the racket (as they ratchet up the price), there are certainly lots of tiers!
