"Fusstrated" for "Frustrated."

I’m sure it had to have been mentiond before, but my searches didn’t turn it up. I’ve had several co-workers over the years use this word… (all female for some strange reason). Obviously confusing the feelings of being in a fuss with being frustrated?

Re: "Fusstrated" for "Frustrated."

This is an eggcorn that I am afraid I use myself. I learned it from my father, who is in such a state constantly. I have noticed this mutation used more where I live in Louisiana than in states that I have visited farther north in the country. I think it is a combination of accent and the mixture of the words “fuss”and “frustrated”.
