"renumerative" for "remunerative"

I’ve always liked this one; even though renumerative isn’t really a word, the root suggests that it must involve renumbering things, which is of course highly profitable work in just about any field. Examples abound:

from http://humanities.uchicago.edu/orgs/cgs/funding.html

“Because the intent behind this fellowship is to allow the awardeee to devote her/his full attention and effort to completion of the dissertation, the terms of this award do not allow one to engage in any renumerative activity, including teaching, on or off campus, or to hold any other award during the period.”

from http://www.plastic.com/comments.html;si … 09;cid=127

“If most people are employed in the least renumerative occupational categories, then, once again, it would seem obvious that the middle class cannot be growing. ”

from http://www.scalzi.com/whatever/004082.html

“It’s generally more financially renumerative to keep a day job and play music on the side than it is to be a full-time musician, or to have a day job and paint on the side than be a full-time artist, or whatever. Working in a creative field is wildly renumerative for less than 1% of any practicioner set…”
