I hope this isn’t just urban legend, but I recall being told that the kid’s chant (ok, I still do it) “find a PENNY, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck” was eggcorned from “find a PIN and pick it up …” from the days when pins cost considerably more than they do today. That makes this a pretty old eggcorn, but it seems like it would qualify.
