guestimate

“Guestimate” appears on the surface to be a legitimate alternate spelling, but it is clear that some people see this and understand it to mean “guest estimate” rather than the original derivation, “guess estimate.”

I always read this to mean halfway between a guess and an estimate, an educated guess if you will.
Where have you seen it with a different meaning implied?
