'report' for 'rapport'

A common word substituted for a rare one. A couple with a good rapport are communicating well, i.e., reporting to each other. (It’s confusing but probably irrelevant that ‘rapport’ means report in French.). Examples:

most songs. However there seemed to be a good report between the two.
