Found in an email about construction projects on a campus.
“Construction fencing was erected Thursday which has severed the ability to transgress the main campus on the north side. ”
I am not sure that this actually is understood as a different meaning so it may be just a malapropism.

Maybe ‘egress’? especially if whoever said it didn’t know quite what it means. Perhaps there was a traverse/egress/access stew on the simmer.

No, I am pretty sure that it was “traverse” since the fence prevents one from crossing the campus on that side. (You hadda be there.)
