Thing or think?

You’ve got another ‘thing’ coming, instead of “If you think X, then you’ve got another ‘think’ coming!”

Well, the original form of the idiom is undoubtedly “another think coming”.

Re: Thing or think?

I know there is a lot of debate about this one, but it seems to me that the expression “If you THINK such-and-such, you have ANOTHER think coming” makes more sense than “thing.” “Another thing? Just what would that thing be?

Feeling quite combobulated.
