“Expose facto” doesn’t have much meaning, does it? I wonder if this might be an example of the cupertino effect. The spelling “expost facto,” with the first two words joined, occurs at a relatively high frequency on the web (>8000 ghits, about 1% as often as the correct spelling). When I run “expost facto” through a spelling checker (tried it on three different ones) I get “expose” as the most likely suggestion.
