'presstine' for 'pristine'

I’ve heard this several times on radio and TV and it seems to be supplanting the original which isn’t that common anyway. A large number of broadcasters over here are suffering some sort of vowel shift (as well as mis-stressing common words and expressions almost at random) but that involves a move from ‘u’ to ‘o’ rather than ‘i’ to ‘e’.
So ‘presstine’ might be eggcornish in that immaculately presented clothes, for example, would need to be carefully pressed, or perhaps “hot off the presses” might be exerting a little influence:

Re: 'presstine' for 'pristine'

I’ll buy it. I wish there were more examples on the web, though.

There are a number of hits for “prisstine.” Possibly just a misspelling, but could it be influenced by “priss” or “prissy?”

Hatching new language, one eggcorn at a time.
